In the upcoming months, Austin will be filled with spirit and celebration for the holidays. Join in on the festivities with friends and family by going to some of these events:
Dia de los Muertos Concert
11/4/17 – Fiesta Gardens
The festival will feature artists in the Latin American and Texan music industries. There will be food and beverages, cultural performances, and altar contests you can participate in.
Austin Powwow
11/4/17 – Travis County Expo Center
Going on its 29th year, this festival features Native American dancing, culture, singing, arts, crafts, and food for the whole family’s enjoyment.
Chuy’s Christmas Parade
11/18/2017 – Congress Avenue
This spirited holiday parade features a procession of giant balloons, marching bands, vintage cars, celebrities and floats to usher in the season of giving.
Blue Genie Art Bazaar
11/24/17-12/24/17 – 6100 Airport Blvd.
The Blue Genie Art Bazaar holiday art show has been open for more than 15 years. The free Bazaar holds handmade artwork and gifts from more than 200 local artists.
Turkey Trot
11/23/17 – The Long Center
ThunderCloud Subs’ annual 5-mile run/1-mile walk is a fun way to celebrate the holidays this year, where one can either compete with other runners or go for a holiday jog!
