10 reasons why we’re already screaming, crying and stressing

We may only be getting through the first six weeks but trust me, it feels like we never left.

Here’s some reasons why:

1- Homework

Yup, you guessed it. We may only be 5 weeks in but we’ve already got 5 projects, 3 essays and 20 other random assignments that we’re probably probably procrastinating on right now as you’re reading this article.

2- Uniforms

I think it’s just gotten to the point where we’re all wearing the exact same polo and the exact same shorts/pants/skirt everyday. I mean, who really has time for laundry nowadays?

3- Two words; Rolley. Backpacks.

I’m just gonna leave this here for ya…

4- Standardized Tests

With the PSAT less than a month you could say the freshmen, sophomores and juniors are spending so much time studying right now.

5- No More Social Life

Between school work, extracurriculars and having our beginning of the year existential crisis, the time for socializing no longer exist. We’re lucky if we even get a time to talk about something other than school at lunch.

6- Jobs

For the very few of us that have them, these jobs seem to be just the cherry on top of the cake of our days after school. Dealing with rude customers, sorting through a million pounds of returns and cleaning up messes that aren’t ours really do just make our days.

7- Blended Learning

Part of it’s at school, part of it’s at home, we have to use technology? What happened to just plain old regular lecture, notes and activities all done in class.

8- Our ID Photos

9- No Sleep

Honestly, we’re lucky if we get more than five hours of sleep per night.

10- College

Whether you’re a senior waiting for an acceptance letter or a junior prepping for taking your first ACT, college seems to be the one thing we’re all stressing about.

At the end of the day, we somehow manage to get through all of the madness with passing grades and most of our hair on our head. Hang in there kids, it’s only the beginning of the real world.
